When Catherine Martineau joined Canopy in 2004, she cast a vision of a day when everyone could thrive under the shade of healthy trees. For over 18 years, she led the way with boldness, creativity, and finesse, connecting and inspiring residents, advocating for our urban forests, and inviting all of us to participate in creating a brighter, tree-filled future.
In spring 2023, as Catherine retired, we invited the Canopy community to celebrate and continue her lasting impact in-person and through the Catherine Martineau Legacy Fund.
Over 165 donors responded with incredible generosity, contributing more than $292,000 to plant and care for trees where they are needed the most. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed and to the entire Canopy community for your support.
Together, we are unlocking the power of trees to foster health and equity, build community, empower youth, and protect our cities from climate change. Your partnership truly has a lasting impact!
