Companies can partner with Canopy to engage their employees in corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects led by Canopy staff. These projects include 3-4 hours of tree planting or tree care at a park, school or neighborhood in the Midpeninsula. The benefits for participating companies include:

Join an event listed on Canopy's event calendar
Corporate groups of up to 9 volunteers are welcome to join volunteer events which are advertised on the Canopy Event Calendar, when space allows.
For corporate groups of 10 or more volunteers, please complete the Group Volunteering Request Form if your group would like to join us at one of our upcoming events. A minimum of 20-30 days advanced scheduling is preferred. We will review your request and be in touch soon.*

Organize a private team building event
If you are interested in organizing a team building event for your group, view the event options below and contact Volunteer Engagement Manager, Indira Selvakumaraswamy, at [email protected]. A minimum of 60 days advanced scheduling is preferred for groups requesting a private planting.
Private Tree Care Event
Private tree care event opportunities are available throughout the year, and involve volunteer groups replenishing and providing essential care to existing Canopy planting sites.
To schedule a private volunteer activity for your group, there is a tax-deductible contribution of $100 per individual with a minimum of 10 people per group.
This donation helps defray the costs associated with organizing, leading, and educating groups, and ensures our ability to offer meaningful experiences. Payment is due one week before the scheduled workday along with an expected number of attendees.
Private Tree Planting Event
Private tree planting events may be scheduled during the tree planting season (October – April).
There is a tax-deductible donation of $10,000 to schedule a private tree planting event.
This donation helps defray the costs associated with purchasing trees as well as organizing, leading, and educating groups, which ensures our ability to offer meaningful experiences. Payment is due one week before the scheduled workday along with an expected number of attendees.
