Join us for a tree-filled day at the Millbrae Library! Share your thoughts on Millbrae's urban forest during a community listening session. Then, participate in our hands-on workshop to learn how fruit tree grafting can enhance your tree’s productivity or even produce multiple types of fruit. To top it off, you'll have the chance to take home one of fifty free potted fruit trees, available on a first-come, first-served basis!

Join us to celebrate the launch of East Palo Alto's very own Loteria! This community-rooted take on the beloved game celebrates everything that makes East Palo Alto special. Each card lifts up the stories, history, and culture that define EPA from the legacy of organizing and resistance to the ongoing fight for environmental justice. Join us as we play, connect, and celebrate the community. We will have free food and fun prizes for the Lotería, including fruit trees!

Join us for a tree care workshop at Terman Park on Saturday, May 17! In this 3-hour workshop, you'll learn and practice watering, mulching, and pruning techniques with the guidance of Canopy staff. Sign-up here.
Join us for a community tree planting with Izzi EPA and Izzi Magnolia on Saturday, May 17, 2025! Help support early childhood health, well-being, and development by bringing shade and the power of trees to the students, families, and staff of these early childhood centers. Register for the planting here.
Enjoy a relaxing wellness walk and yoga session in Friendship Park with North Fair Oaks Library and Canopy! Led by a yoga instructor and expert arborist, this walk and yoga session will help you unwind and connect with nature. All yoga levels are welcomed, and no registration is required! We will meet at the North Fair Oaks Library and walk to the park together.

The heart of our communities and cities are our schools and greenspaces. Greening schoolyards can benefit students, their families, and the rest of the community. A well-forested campus can help fight climate change, pollution, heat islands, and improve the mental health of those who frequent or engage with those spaces. Transforming schools from asphalt to greenspace is a critical component to increasing our urban forest, cooling our neighborhoods and improving access to open spaces -- especially in densely urban communities like those in the Bay Area. But schools can face complex challenges and competing priorities that create barriers to this transformation.
