  • Tree Walk: EPA Soundwall

    Saturday, January 13, 2018

Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Location: 330 Donohoe St. East Palo Alto, CA

Join us at the East Palo Alto Soundwall to see the trees that were the inspiration, and the proof of concept, for the super-diverse forest now growing at the new Apple Park campus. This walk will be led by Dave Muffly—now Senior Arborist for Apple. Dave was Canopy’s first Program Director, and has been a trusted advisor since. For this planting, Dave selected numerous rare oak species not previously tested in our area. Now in the ground almost a decade, with little or no supplemental irrigation in recent years, this successful and profoundly drought adapted planting was Canopy’s first foray into East Palo Alto, where we have now planted over 2,000 trees. The walk will begin on the East Palo Alto’s west side, at the corner of West Bayshore and Donahoe St. (just past the Four Seasons Hotel). Learn more. Click here to RSVP.
