California Climate Action Corps Fellow

Hybrid fellowship position based in Palo Alto, CA

California Climate Actions Corps is recruiting now, and you can apply to be a fellow with Canopy!

The California Climate Action Corps are looking for passionate Californians (18+) who want to serve as California Climate Action Corps fellows for 11 months, leading climate action and volunteer engagement projects across the state. Fellows focus on urban greening, organic waste and edible food recovery and wildfire resiliency—especially in underserved regions throughout California.

California Climate Action Corps fellows earn up to $45,550 in living stipend, training support and money for school upon successful completion of 1,700 hours of service between September 21, 2026, and August 13, 2027.

Applications will open on May 1, 2026, and be accepted until July 31, 2026.

Community Forester (Santa Clara County - Tree Planting)

Full-time, hybrid position based in Palo Alto, CA

Under the direction of the Director of Community Forestry, the Santa Clara County Community Forester will be responsible for leading Canopy’s tree programs for the City of Palo Alto and Mountain View, primarily by organizing tree planting and stewardship activities with key partners, tracking the work, and delivering on our contracts and grants in those service areas. The ideal candidate will be able to set and meet ambitious program goals, effectively balance office work and fieldwork, and collaborate on shared goals with teammates. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of urban forestry, to work collaboratively with others, and to affect positive change in our communities and the environment. Work week Tuesday through Saturday, with occasional early mornings and evenings.

Salesforce & Systems Administrator

Full-time, hybrid position based in Palo Alto

Under the guidance of the Director of Impact, the Salesforce & Systems Administrator will help maintain and optimize Canopy’s Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) Salesforce instance, supporting staff with reliable tools, accurate data, and the training needed to use the system effectively.

In addition to day-to-day Salesforce administration and maintenance, this position supports related data platforms and system integrations, develops documentation and training materials, and contributes to longer-term technology planning and implementation.

This is envisioned as a role for someone early in their Salesforce Administrator journey who is eager to gain hands-on experience with foundational tools and platforms in an environment with ample opportunities for support, mentorship, and professional growth. Success in this role will come from ongoing curiosity, growing expertise with Salesforce, and a collaborative approach to supporting staff adoption and continuously improving our systems. While this is designed as an entry-level growth role, we welcome applications from more experienced administrators and are open to adjusting the compensation and scope for an experienced professional ready to champion our mission.
