As a community-based nonprofit organization, the special knowledge and skills of our volunteers help Canopy turn our visions into action. If you are interested in providing ProBono work (free services) for the below roles or projects, we’d appreciate working with you!

If you’re skilled in data analysis, Canopy could use your services in monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programs! There’s also opportunities to help input and analyze local tree data from tree surveys.
Do you enjoy mapping and GIS? Using tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS, you could help Canopy visualize the impact and reach of our programs and assess trends in our urban forests!
Are you a professional arborist looking to share your arboricultural knowledge and expand your impact in the community? Volunteer with Canopy as a consulting arborist! You can inform a variety of projects and provide essential services to our Tree Stewards and partners, including tree disease diagnosis, tree management plans, and risk assessments.
Help Canopy capture special moments at community events on camera. From large fieldwork events to special events like our annual Tree Awards, our community appreciates looking back at these photos. If you like nature photography, you can take photos of local urban trees!
Help Canopy share our work and impact as a videographer! Videographers will work with our team to produce compelling videos – fieldwork recaps, educational content, interviews, and more.
As a translation volunteer, you will help Canopy improve the accessibility of our resources and work by helping translate materials, website pages, and live events such as workshops. Canopy is especially seeking Spanish and Mandarin/Cantonese translation services.
From event logos to educational materials, Canopy seeks graphic designers who want to share their artistic skills with our community. Whether you’re specialized in web design, marketing, motion graphics, or something else, we would appreciate the opportunity to work with you!
