Details: Join a Leading Arborist for a Tree Walk in the Greenmeadow neighborhood. Will include a great variety of trees: Sugar Maple, Bigleaf Maple, Cork Oak, Torrey Pine, Brazilian Pepper Tree, Moraine Ash, Soapbark Tree, Tulip Tree, Holly Oak and many others! The walk begins at the Greenmeadow Community Center - 303 Parkside Drive Palo Alto.

West Bayshore Tree Walk

Details: Join leading arborist Herb Fong for this midtown tree walk. The walk includes a great variety of trees: White Mulberry, California Pepper Tree, Red Ironbark, Modesto Ash, Canary Island Date Palm, Silver Dollar Gum, Silk Tree, Idaho Locust and many others! The walk begins at Ohlone School, 950 Amarillo Avenue.

Apple Campus 2: Growing a Forest
Where: Lucie Stern Community Center, 1305 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto

Details: Join Dave Muffly, Apple Senior Arborist, Sally Reynolds, Landscape Architect at Olin, and Eric Morley, Principal at The Morley Bros to learn about the plan for Apple Campus 2, which includes 7,000 trees and a landscape design of meadows and oak woodlands to create an ecologically rich oak savanna and forest reminiscent of the early Santa Clara Valley. The campus also recalls our agricultural past including active and sustainably farmed orchards including apricot, apple, cherry, persimmon and plum trees. The presenters will discuss designing a landscape for an iconic building of singular size and design, recreating a sustainable Californian landscape, designing with the environment in mind, and planning for 7,000 trees. Networking and refreshments at 9:30AM.
