Canopy Annual Mayor's Tree Planting and Award Ceremony

Description: Let's celebrate! You're invited to join Canopy and friends at the 2015 Annual Mayor's Tree Planting and Awards ceremony. A ceremonial tree planting in honor of the Mayor will be followed by refreshments, mingling, and merriment. We'll also recognize the recipients of the 2015 Canopy Tree Awards. EPAPA Tree Planting

Rinconada Library and Art Center Tree Walk

This walk includes a great variety of trees at this former Palo Alto city hall location: Jelecote Pine, Red Horsechestnut, Chinese Pistache, Italian Stone Pine, Black Mulberry, Japanese Flowering Crabapple, Plume Cryptomeria and many others! Soundwall Pruning

Location: Addison Avenue and Green Street, East Palo Alto, CA
Description: Help prune trees for clearance along the Highway 101 Soundwall along West Bayshore Road in East Palo Alto. We will meet at the corner of Addison Ave and Green Street. Close-toed shoes are always required, and we recommend wearing long-sleeved shirt, long pants, a hat, and sunglasses. Education Training: ELL Strategies for Science Providers

Description: The Ravenswood City School District (RSCD) is offering a training for education providers who work with English language learners (ELLs) to share and demonstrate strategies for working with these students. Canopy brings nature education to RCSD classes through interactive tree lessons, so we encourage all of our education volunteers to attend this training. Click here to sign-up. Tree Care Work Day

Description: Healthy urban trees benefit the entire community. Help us care for young urban trees to ensure they grow healthy and strong! Typical tree care activities include weeding, mulching, watering, and replacing stakes or straps as needed. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle if you have one.
