Tree Care Work Day

Where: East Palo Alto Charter School – 1286 Runnymede St, East Palo Alto
Date: December 13, 2014
Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Details: Healthy trees help create a healthy school campus! Join us as we care for young trees on the EPACS school campus to help them grow healthy and strong. Activities will include weeding, mulching, watering, and planting a few replacement trees.This event is full. Please email maika@canopy.org to be notified if volunteer spots open up. Thanks for your interest!

Greenmeadow Tree Walk

Where: The walk begins at the Greenmeadow Community Center – 303 Parkside Drive Palo Alto

Details: Join Canopy and a leading arborist for a Tree Walk in the Greenmeadow neighborhood. The walk will include a great variety of trees: Sugar Maple, Bigleaf Maple, Cork Oak, Torrey Pine, Brazilian Pepper Tree, Moraine Ash, Soapbark Tree, Tulip Tree, Holly Oak and many others!

Main Library and Art Center Tree Walk

Where: The walk begins at the Main Library parking lot, 1213 Newell Road
Date: February 14, 2015

Details: Join Canopy and an expert arborist for a Tree Walk at the Main Library & Art Center. This walk includes a great variety of trees at this former Palo Alto city hall location: Jelecote Pine, Red Horsechestnut, Chinese Pistache, Italian Stone Pine, Black Mulberry, Japanese Flowering Crabapple, Plume Cryptomeria and many others! The walk begins at the Main Library parking lot, 1213 Newell Road.

Arbor Day Tree Walk at Gamble Garden

Where: Begins at the Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden parking lot, near the corner of Waverley Street and Embarcadero Road

Details: Celebrate California Arbor Week (March 7 to 14) with Canopy and expert arborists by exploring the trees of Gamble Garden. We’ll learn about species like the California Buckeye, Cucumber Tree, Cockspur Coral Tree, Japanese Persimmon Hachiya, and many more!

This Tree Walk begins at the Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden parking lot, near the corner of Waverley Street and Embarcadero Road.

Where: Begins at Gamble Garden Center, 1431 Waverley Street, Churchill Avenue parking entrance
Date: April 11, 2015

Details: Join Canopy and a Leading Arborist for a Walk through Old Palo Alto. We’ll see a great variety of trees including: The Canary Island Pine, Flowering Pear, Giant Sequoia, Mayten, Western Redbud and many others!

College Terrace Tree Walk

Where: Meet at the corner of College Avenue and Oberlin Street
