Jan Sat, 9th 10am- noon Free Tree Walk in Palo Verde neighborhood with Leading Arborist Ted Kipping, begins at the entrance to Palo Verde Elementary School at 3450 Louis Rd in Palo Alto. Kick off the new year with some exercise and learn about the trees in your neighborhood.

National Day of Service Volunteer Fruit Tree Planting at 49ers Academy in East Palo Alto with Collective Roots. Funding for this project was provided by a grant from the Palo Alto Community Fund. To sign up email: sharon@canopy.org

  Sat, 30th 10am-1pm Mayor's Planting and Volunteer Planting along California Avenue. A great opportunity to get involved, the volunteer planting will be followed by the Annual Mayor's Planting at 12:30.   Sat, 13th 10am- noon Free Tree Walk in Old Palo Alto with Leading Arborist Heather Booty. Bring your valentine and come learn about "tree love". Meet at the Churchill Street entrance to Gamble Garden (between Waverley and Cowper). This walk will continue around the neighborhood- plan to pay a visit to the lovely Gamble Garden following the walk!
  Sat, 13th 1pm- 4pm Workshop: Restoring Older Fruit Trees with Master Arborist Dave Muffly. Workshop will be located at a private residence in Los Altos. Cost is $25, class size is limited. To sign up and receive details please email: sharon@canopy.org
Mar Fri, 5th 9am- 3:30pm Workshop: Pruning and Training Young Trees for Strength, Beauty, Longevity and Appropriate Clearances: A Practical Approach for Arborists with Master Arborist Dave Muffly. Meet at the Peninsula Conservation Center, 3921 E. Bayshore Rd, Palo Alto for classroom portion. Cost is $75 for WCISA members. To sign up and receive details please email: sharon@canopy.org
  Sat, 13th 10am- 1pm Canopy and City of Palo Alto Arbor Day Celebration and Children's Tree Walk with Leading Arborist Carole Langston at the Junior Museum and Zoo. Join Canopy as we celebrate trees for all the benefits and beauty they provide. Plant a tree, listen to tree stories, sing tree songs and join in kids tree activities.
